GBS invites parents to become more involved by joining one or more of the following parent groups. Why? Learn more about Glenbrook South, meet other parents, and give important feedback and input for decision-making.

Glenbrook South's Parents Association

Glenbrook South Parents Association seeks membership from the entire GBS parent community. The purpose of the organization is to serve as an educational and informational liaison between the school administration and parents. The Executive Council consists of four officers and eight committee chairs who all serve a one-year team. The Parents Association hosts three general meetings and three parent education events each year; it also sponsors the Distinguished Teacher of the Year award, hosts a staff appreciation luncheon, volunteers at Titans Helping Titans events, and provides scholarships and other support to students and staff at GBS. Membership is $25 and includes a subscription to the student newspaper, the Oracle.

Titan Booster Club

Glenbrook South Instrumental League (GBSIL)

Glenbrook South Instrumental League (GBSIL) is a support group for all GBS bands. During the year the members assist band members in fundraising activities and provide chaperones and support for band competitions. All parents of students involved in the band program along with the band directors are members of this group.

Glenbrook Special Education Parent & Staff Association

Glenbrook Special Education Parent & Staff Association consists of parents with children in special education. The purpose of the group is to identify issues and common concerns of special education students and work with the special education staff and administration on those issues. Parent information meetings are held throughout the year.
