Advanced TV & Film Production

TV students provide programming and set the schedule for Comcast Channel 26 and WOW! Channel 14 in Glenview. This co-curricular provides numerous exciting opportunities for students to create a wide variety of film and video projects. Students also cover and produce video content for many school events such as games and the V-Show.

Art Club (Creativity for Change)

Art club is an open club for all students interested in creating art! It is not a replacement for Art classes, but it is a way for students to spend an hour after school creating!

Autos Club

Automotive club welcomes like minded people to dive into projects and participate in automotive related activities. As a club, we promote teamwork and provide students with enjoyable activities to help expand and explore automotive knowledge. We teach basic automotive skills that are necessary in everyday life to anyone who wants to learn.

Meeting Information: Every Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in room 1216.

Calliope

This GBS literary magazine showcases short stories, poems, and other writings as well as artwork and photography by GBS students. As a member of the staff, you will decide what to publish, and how, through a wide variety of media. All are welcome regardless of experience!

Drama Club

Drama Club meets every other Tuesday for people who want to be involved in all aspects of GBS Theatre. We help with productions, learn about skills needed in the theatre, listen to professional speakers, initiate service projects and play theatre games. You will also have the opportunity to attend Theatrefest in January.

FCCLA

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is the Career and Technical Student Organization for​ Family and Consumer Science students. FCCLA is a national student organization that helps young people become better leaders in their families, careers and communities. Students learn skills for life: planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal communication. FCCLA is the only student organization with the family as it's central focus. Members have the opportunity to demonstrate leadership skills through participating in proficiency events, showcasing community service projects, exploring careers, attending educational sessions and serving as an elected officer.

Jazz Ensemble/Jazz Lab

Jazz Band is an extracurricular activity that meets throughout the year. The basic fundamentals of the jazz idiom will be studied, and performance is the course’s goal. The band directors conduct auditions once the school year begins to determine a student’s placement in either Jazz Lab Band or Jazz Ensemble.
