Instructional Supervisor of World Languages
Ms. Danita Fitch
Danita Fitch has served as instructional supervisor of the World Languages department since 2005. She joined Glenbrook South as a Spanish teacher in 1994, starting the school’s Spanish for Heritage program. She worked with Latinx students to provide rigorous academic experiences, to develop leadership skills in and out of the classroom and to engage parents in the GBS school community. Danita served as assistant instructional supervisor to the department, and has taught levels one through Advanced Placement Spanish courses. Danita earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Roosevelt University, and soon thereafter received her teaching credentials in Spanish from Northeastern Illinois University. Her passion for language and culture led her to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Spanish Language and Literature from Roosevelt University, and later she earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership.
