TV students provide programming and set the schedule for Comcast Channel 26 and WOW! Channel 14 in Glenview. This co-curricular provides numerous exciting opportunities for students to create a wide variety of film and video projects. Students also cover and produce video content for many school events such as games and the V-Show.
Art Club is an open club for all students interested in creating art! It is not a replacement for Art classes, but it is a way for students to spend an hour after school creating!
This GBS literary magazine showcases short stories, poems, and other writings as well as artwork and photography by GBS students. As a member of the staff, you will decide what to publish, and how, through a wide variety of media. All are welcome regardless of experience!
The Cookie Collective is a non-profit where we combine baking with charity! We bake delicious treats to sell and raise funds for various causes where you have a voice on which charity gets chosen. Whether you're a baking pro or a beginner, there's a place for you. Come share your love of cookies and make a difference!
Drama Club meets every other Tuesday for people who want to be involved in all aspects of GBS Theatre. We help with productions, learn about skills needed in the theatre, listen to professional speakers, initiate service projects and play theatre games. You will also have the opportunity to attend Theatrefest in January.
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is the Career and Technical Student Organization for​ Family and Consumer Science students. FCCLA is a national student organization that helps young people become better leaders in their families, careers and communities. Students learn skills for life: planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal communication. FCCLA is the only student organization with the family as its central focus. Members have the opportunity to demonstrate leadership skills through participating in proficiency events, showcasing community service projects, exploring careers, attending educational sessions and serving as an elected officer.
WGBK radio provides opportunities for Glenbrook South students to operate a working FM radio station.
Glenview’s Got STEAM is a service club that partners with the Glenview Public Library to provide free, accessible, and fun workshops for local 5th-8th graders interested in the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) fields. No STEAM experience is needed! Our club aims to help build a better, more inclusive, and educational community here in Glenview. We want to inspire and mentor the next generation of engineers and problem solvers. If you are interested in STEAM, seeking service opportunities, or enjoy teaching and mentoring young kids, this club is for you! We are always looking for more volunteers and members. All are welcome!
Come jam with Guitar Club! This is a club for those who enjoy playing guitar or want to improve their guitar playing skills.
Jazz Band is an extracurricular activity that meets throughout the year. The basic fundamentals of the jazz idiom will be studied, and performance is the course’s goal. The band directors conduct auditions once the school year begins to determine a student’s placement in either Jazz Lab Band or Jazz Ensemble.
Learn the technical aspects of theatre- lighting, sound, set construction- by being a member of the Stage Crew! Stage Crew is the running crew for all GBS productions
Come work to gather the latest fashion trends of the year (including trends in photography/editing), and organize them in a way which allows students to express themselves and capture the style trends of society and GBS.
