Chamber Singers
The Glenbrook South Chamber Singers is a mixed 23-member auditioned vocal ensemble open to advanced choral students in grades 10-12 by audition. They rehearse once a week as a full group on Monday nights in addition to lunch-time sectionals, and are directed by Mr. Robert Shellard. Chamber Singers (often referred to as "Chambers") performs extensively throughout the Glenview and surrounding communities throughout the December season. Preparing a repertoire of nearly 50 winter classics, they are available for hire throughout the caroling season. Chambers also performs at the Glenbrook South Fall Choral Concert, Winter Choral Concert, Winter Music Assembly, and Glenbrook Festival of Music, as well as performing their favorite repertoire at an exclusive Chamber Singers Concert in May.
Nine
Nine is a nine member auditioned contemporary a cappella group open to advanced tenor and bass choral students in grades 10-12 by audition. They rehearse once a week as a full group on Monday nights in addition to lunch-time sectionals, and are directed by Mr. Drew Curry. Nine performs extensively throughout the Glenview and surrounding communities throughout the school year. They prepare music in the pop, rock, and jazz genres, all completely unaccompanied. Nine also performs at the Glenbrook South Fall Choral Concert, Winter Choral Concert, and Winter Music Assembly, as well as performing their favorite repertoire at their A Cappella Concert in June.
Scat That
Scat That is an auditioned contemporary a cappella group open to advanced soprano and alto choral students in grades 10-12 by audition. They rehearse once a week as a full group on Monday nights in addition to lunch-time sectionals, and are directed by Mr. Drew Curry. Scat That performs extensively throughout the Glenview and surrounding communities throughout the school year as well as individual members auditioning for ILMEA District 7 Vocal Jazz ensembles. They prepare music in the jazz genre, both unaccompanied and with combo accompaniment. Scat That also performs at the Glenbrook South Fall Choral Concert, Winter Choral Concert, and Winter Music Assembly, as well as performing their favorite repertoire at their Scat That Concert in June.
Solace
Solace is a 10-member auditioned contemporary a cappella group open to advanced soprano and alto choral students in grades 10-12 by audition. They rehearse once a week as a full group on Monday nights in addition to lunch-time sectionals, and are directed by Mr. Robert Shellard.
