Congratulations to the Glenbrook South Math Team for their great performance at Regionals last weekend. Special recognition goes to Freshman Rishi Purayil for his first place finish in the freshman competition, Senior Evan Papoutsis for his second place finish in the senior competition, Senior Anshul Sukhlecha and Sophomore Hovan Pacheco for their second place in the orals competition and Freshman Rishi Purayil and Sophomore Jessica Schmidt for their second place finish in the two-person competition.
Congratulations to Debaters Audrey Sepahdari and Harlan Warnsman for being the Tournament Novice Champions in Iowa City last weekend! They beat a field of 40 teams and defeated Glenbrook North in the finals!
Congratulations to our Horticulture Team who took 2nd place at the Joliet Junior College invitational last Friday. A special congrats to Sarah Williams who placed first individually out of everyone at the competition.
Winterfest is coming! The new and improved Spring Dance format will take place Saturday, March 14th. Tickets are on sale now in the Bookstore. $15 with an Activity Pass, $17 without, and $20 at the door. Check your grade’s Instagram page for more information!

There's still time to get creative and submit an entry in the World Language week poster contest. Pick up your free poster board in the World Languages Office (264) and check out recent posters for inspiration. Deadline for submission is TOMORROW, Friday, February 28th!
The 2020 Glenbrook Habitat for Humanity Summer Program is now accepting on-line applications on the GBS webpage. The deadline to apply is THIS Sunday, March 1st! You must be 16 years old by June 1st to apply. This experience is amazing and the impact you can have on a Habitat family can be life changing, don't miss out, sign up now.

Calliope, Glenbrook South’s literary arts magazine, invites all artists to step out of the dark and submit to this year's edition "Chasing the Light". Service-Learning Travel with SaLT (Service and Learning Together)
SaLTinPuertoRico (7/26/20 - 8/1/20) In Puerto Rico, students will explore Old San Juan and work in hurricane relief serving the communities of La Perla, Miramar, and El Yunque Forest. After our days of service, we will enjoy salsa dancing lessons, cave exploring, zip-lining, and the beautiful beaches of this amazing island. Congratulations to Junior Gymnast, Sheena Graham who had a spectacular performance at the State Gymnastics meet last weekend. At the end of the final competition last Saturday, Sheena finished: 3rd place on beam earning her All State honors, 6th place in the all-around, 7th place on bars, and 9th place on vault.
Congratulations to the Boys Swimming and Diving Team on their win at Sectionals last Saturday. It was a tremendous performance in which 11 boys qualified for the IHSA State Meet. Sectional Champions include Matt Dale, Mike Hadjiivanov, Max Iida, and Sami Moussally.
Attention all boys Water Polo players- Tryouts start NEXT Monday, March 2nd. Freshmen and Sophomores will practice from 2:30-4:00pm. Juniors and Seniors will practice from 4:00-6:00pm. Please make sure you have all your paperwork on file with the Athletic Department, or you will be unable to tryout. Please contact Coach Lieberman in the Science Office or Coach Goodspeed in the English Office with any questions.
