Attention Seniors-  Please be aware of your college application deadlines. Students with an application deadline of January 1st, must have their transcript request form turned in no later than NEXT Monday, December 9th. For students with January 15th deadlines, your transcript request form must be submitted by Wednesday, December 18th. More information can be found on the College and Career website.
 
Come see the annual dance show TONIGHT, Friday, December 6th at 7:30pm in the Auditorium. There will be performances by Orchesis, De La Cru, Bhangra Beatz, Latino Heat, and Poms. Tickets are $5 in the SAO or at the door (cash or check only).
 
The GBS Instrumental League will be hosting a Holiday Bazaar, TOMORROW, Saturday, December 7th from 10am to 5pm! There will be over 75 booths filled with a variety of art, fine craft, vintage, repurposed and artisan wares as well as small batch gourmet and boutique! There will also be a Book Nook with local Glenview and North Shore authors selling and signing their books in the SAC!  Throughout the day, the band, orchestra, jazz and choir will be providing the entertainment! Admission is free to GBS students with their activity pass, other children $1 and adults $5. You can follow the Bazaar on  Instagram at gbsilholidaybazaar.

Stewart’s Super Secret Saturday Morning Cartoon Show, is NEXT Thursday, December 12th at 7:00pm and Friday, December 13th at 4:00 and 7:00pm in the GBS Drama Dance Room. It’s going to be fun. Honestly. Cartoons and fun and basically nothing evil. $7 to get in or 1 free two boxes of cereal (donations will go to the Northfield Township Food Pantry) or an Activities Pass!

The GBS Japanese program needs host families who can host 30 Japanese high school students who will be visiting GBS March 1st through March 7th, 2020. This is a chance for you and your family to share another country and culture in your own home - consider hosting a student from Japan!  Host families are expected to provide lodging, transportation (only between school and home), and meals. Please contact Mrs. Makita in World Languages for more information.

Make-a-Difference and join a Service-Learning Trip to Orlando in February to work with Make-a-Wish Families, or go on a Service-Learning Trip to Puerto Rico this Summer to work on housing and the environment. 
SaLTinORLANDO (2/28/20 - 3/2/20)     In partnership with Give Kids the World, students will serve and support families with children suffering from life-threatening illnesses who are enjoying their Make-a-Wish trip to Disney World. SaLTinPuertoRico (7/26/20 - 8/1/20)In Puerto Rico, students will explore Old San Juan and work in hurricane relief serving the communities of La Perla, Miramar, and El Yunque Forest. If you like meeting new people, traveling, and sharing ideas, now is the perfect time to become a part of our team. It is never too late to join! Come down to the back of the library Tuesdays after school or Wednesdays before school to see what it is all about!

MUSIC PRODUCTION CLUB
Calling all aspiring producers and creators! Slide through to Room 535 Mondays at 3:30pm for Music and Production Club. Come make some sick beats! Questions?  See Mr. Wojcik.

SPORTS TALK CLUB
If you love talking sports, join Sports Talk Club, which meets every Tuesday morning from 7:15-7:55 in Room 228. Sports Talk Club is also doing a fundraiser/equipment drive for Global Sports, a popular sports agency, to donate sports gear to areas that can’t afford it. So if you have any sports equipment that is new or barely used, you can bring it to the meetings.

WINTER RUNNING CLUB
Winter Running Club has begun!  The club is open to anyone who wants to stay in shape!  Meet in the Fieldhouse after school Monday through Thursday, until finals.

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Basketball team on their victory over New Trier last night in overtime with a 63-62 win! Joe Shapiro led the Titans with 18 points, Dom Martinelli scored 17 points, and Justin Leszynski scored 12. Brendan Wolf came off the bench to hit 3 huge 3’s to help the Titans secure victory!

Come on out TONIGHT, Friday, December 6th and watch the Boys Wrestling team in the Titan Dome as they wrestle GBN!  Freshman and JV will start at 5:30pm and Varsity will start at 6:45pm. Make sure you join Titan Nation and come out and support the team!  Take down a poster and bring it to the meet in order to be entered into a raffle!  See you there!

Attention all students interested in playing Boys Soccer next Fall- Workouts are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 5:00pm. Please email Coach Lara if you have any questions.  

Water Polo!  Girls Water Polo will be hosting open pools on Friday mornings from 6:00-7:00am.  All are welcome.  Contact Coach Stancik in Science for more information.

All boys interested in joining the Track and Field Team this season, should plan on attending a short informational meeting TODAY, Friday, December 6th, after school in the Fieldhouse.  See Coach Hasenstein with any questions. 

All students interested in trying out for Girls Lacrosse-, Open gyms are Mondays from 7:00-8:30pm in the GBS Fieldhouse.  All levels welcome and no experience is necessary!
