Art Students Get National Recognition For The First Time

Two Glenbrook South students will have their artwork on national display at this year’s National Art Honors Society Juried Exhibition.

Senior Lizbeth Deloya and Justin Manalang submitted pieces earlier in the school year to the exhibition hoping to be chosen.

The exhibition will showcase artwork of students who are members of NAHS and NJHS programs across the country. Out of 1,187 submissions 93 will be on display for the virtual event.

Art Teacher Stephanie Fuja said she is ecstatic to see her students' work displayed on a national stage.

“This is a huge accomplishment for these kids and for our school and our National Art Honors Society (NAHS) program! What an incredible experience these two seniors will have,” Fuja said.

The virtual exhibit opens January 11, 2021.
